New Header image, new slideshow, refined look for South Boston Auto Tech

Here is a new logo I created using Gimp, using a special filter. I really like the smooth look to it. To be exact, I used the Alien Glow filter. You can specify the color and how many bands of ‘glow’ you want to have around the selection, in this case, a text selection.

Also, I added a new form for potential customers to input their own info, their car info, a problem they are having with their car, and a callback time. A calendar was added so that the user can easily pick a time for Will (the owner) to call back his customer. Additionally, I added another input of how long they will be around after the callback time, so Will will know for sure the customer’s window of availability.

New logo for South Boston Auto Tech

I used illustrator to trace the clients business card logo. Added a cool yellow glow effect.

Also, if you go to the site you will see a steel diamond background pattern that he requested. I also designed that through Adobe Illustrator. Here is the most recent screenshot:

Sbweb’s first job is a site called Sb auto tech, an auto repair shop located near andrew square. Will Smith, the mechanic, is a computer diagnostic specialist and he does really good work.
I had him look at my 2002 honda accord when my check engine light came on. He ended up doing a transmission flush, and he reset the light. He was very helpful and informative.

I included dummy cars for now, but Will will be able to photograph used cars and upload them to this site, without having to have SBweb maintain it!
